Empowering Every Student to Reach Their Full Potential

Early in her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Dr. Regina Odishoo noticed something: students made real gains in sessions with her, but those skills were not transferring beyond her therapy room. The separation of skill-building and specialized supports was limiting her students' progress. She began specializing in updating school-based Speech and Language programs to be more inclusive and collaborative. Understanding the interconnected relationship between language, learning, and curriculum, she pursued her doctorate in Reading, Language, and Literacy and her Learning Behavior Specialist I endorsement, becoming a special education teacher along the way. Her doctoral research carried that same question further, examining best practices in co-teaching, inclusive services, and literacy.

Outside of the classroom, Dr. Odishoo saw a different kind of disconnect. School-based strategies and methodology were either inconsistently practiced or nonexistent at home. Strategies, recommendations, and skills from private supports were often presented independently, inconsistently, or differently from day-to-day learning at school. Parents, wanting the best for their child, were left confused about when and how to support them. Private providers were often doing homework with students, creating dependence rather than building the foundational skills needed for independence.

That gap, between school, home, and private support, became the foundation for Elevated Success. ES aims to join the settings of a child's world by connecting curriculum, strategies, and the after-school world to each other in an organized and individualized way. It is built on a unique combination of interdisciplinary expertise, collaborative partnerships, and whole-student growth to create independence and successful results. Elevated Success provides families with expert support that addresses immediate needs while identifying underlying gaps, with every plan considering future educational demands alongside current ones.
